The Grenoble-Isère airport is ideally located in the heart of Rhône-Alpes. It is the gateway to the French Alps and to the Alps “Silicon Valley”. Each winter, the Department welcomes hundreds of thousands of tourists, especially to these stations.
Inaugurated in October 2002, a new terminal can accommodate up to one million passengers, with all necessary services available on site: car rental, cash dispenser, bar/restaurant, newsstand/bookstore, duty-free shop. Over 500 spaces allow passengers to park their vehicles close to the airport entrance. Meeting rooms are available for business guests.

The airport's low-cost positioning permits Rhône-Alpes residents to fly year-round to London or Dublin for less than thirty US dollars.
